At NSRGP, we represent, owners, developers, general contractors, construction managers, subcontractors, engineers, architects in construction site accidents and insurance companies in related coverage matters in both the state and federal courts. Common causes of construction site injuries include crane, scaffolding and machinery accidents, falls from ladders or elevated heights, electrocution, explosions, collapsed trenches and fires.

With our experience in the industry and knowledge of the law, our construction attorneys are proficient in advising our clients of the legal nuances of the New York State Labor Law; the “Industrial Code” (12 NYCRR Part 23), the Safety and Health Regulations for Construction (29 CFR 1926) of The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA); the guidelines of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI); and other codes and regulations governing construction sites.

NSRGP recognizes that keeping its clients apprised of all relevant developments during the course of litigation is paramount to a successful relationship. Through reporting and telephone conferences our insureds are regularly kept up-to-date on all aspects of their case so that they are aware of how the case is proceeding. Insurers are furnished periodic status reports on developments.

NSRGP is also sensitive of the significant costs in defending construction site accidents and associated coverage claims. Upon receipt of a claim we provide our client with an initial evaluation and assessment of the issues in order to jointly come up with a plan and strategy. We pursue a pro-active litigation philosophy to obtain an early resolution of the claim and/or pass liability through to the responsible party before lengthy litigation has ensued.

While our attorneys are skilled in negotiation, mediation and arbitration, as most cases are resolved prior to trial, some cases cannot be resolved and must be tried. At the trial phase, NSRGP vigorously defends its clients. Our preparation and planning, knowledge of the socioeconomic culture of each venue and our extensive trial experience insures that our clients will obtain a favorable outcome.
